looking for a ride

Hi All,
I'm just getting back into riding after many, many years. I am loving it and now want to do an organized ride. I live in alaska so we are limited here. I am not looking for a race just a nice ride with some other folks. Most of my friends locally don't ride so, and neither does hubby so I may also need to find a ride that allows singles. I'm thinking maybe a three dayer. unfortunately I dont know alot but I do have a huge interest.
thanks for any ideas anyone may have.

Welcome. Are you talking about finding a ride in Alaska, or are you willing to travel?

If you're willing to travel, this Seattle-based blog, www.bikingbis.com, does a great job tracking organized rides in the Pacific Northwest, and he also lists all of the cross-state rides in America that he can find (like Ride Around Washington, RAGBRAI, etc.). (Look on the right hand side of the home page, where he has the rides calendar).

Also, there are a number of commercial tour companies that offer bicycle tours of several days to several weeks in length.

As for finding rides in Alaska - you should find the closest big bike club, ask your local bike shop, or look for help on the Pacific Northwest forum here at bikeforums.

Also there is this - multi-day tours in the Pacific NW sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club...

And many commercial tour companies:
