Men's "Hour of Power"

Men's "Hour of Power"

Today, at 5:45 I participated in the first Men's "Hour of Power" conducted by a sadist trainer in our local rec dept.

I hadn't a clue about what to expect, except it would be challenging! It was.

I was surprised that 18 guys showed up. Mostly in their 30's and 40's. I was by far the most "mature" at 69. One other guy perhaps in early 60's??

Anyway, starting with 4 laps around the gym to get warmed up, then followed by a whole lot of different activities - a lot of various kinds of jumping (side to side over a line, back and forth, through "ladders on the floor with different jumping motions, over small "hurdles" and a variety of abs, push ups, dips, squats and the like.

It was most interesting. I was able to pretty much keep up with a lot of the younger guys, but I hate running and still do.

Ending with stretching, I then went for a short swim and did a few other weights on machines in the gym. Not much, because the old bod was sayin, "Enough today, Fox you fool."

Actually, the instructor is pretty good - I even got her to laugh a couple of times.

A couple of guys were there for extreme weight loss needs.

Torture to be continued next Wednesday.

So, what fun have you been having lately?:D

That sounds brutal Mr. Fox,

I would never even think about trying something that difficult!

Sadist. Female. Trainer. Just what kind of program is this--and do you have pictures?

I can imagine other "Hour of Power" activities that would be more pleasant.

Did the "Hour of Power" offer any preaching?

So it was a Jazzercise class, made easy for men.

Is that about right?

I'm the second oldest participating but I still do this twice a week after 17 years:
