That was so funny and yet so true. Very well written. Anyone who can read that without laughing has had their sense of humor removed!

+1 that was hilarious and it hits the nail right on the head. I use to have to get it done every year, because of cancer. Now that I'm on Medicare I can only go every other year and am I glad.

Kinda OT,
Three men were discussing aging at the nursing home.
"Sixty is the worst age to be," said the 60-year-old. You always feel
like you have to pee. And most of the time, you stand at the toilet
and nothing comes out!"
"Ah, that's nothin'," said the 70-year-old. "When you're seventy, you
can't even crap anymore. You take laxatives, eat bran, you sit on the
toilet all day and nothin' comes out!"
"Actually," said the 80-year-old, "Eighty is the worst age of all."
"Do you have trouble peeing too?" asked the 60-year-old.
"No, not really. I pee every morning at 6:00. I pee like a racehorse
on a flat rock; no problem at all."
"Do you have trouble crapping?" "No, I crap every morning at 6:30."
With great exasperation, the 60-year-old said, "Let me get this
straight. You pee every morning at 6:00 and crap every morning at
6:30. So what's so tough about being 80?"
"I don't wake up until 7:00."

Coincidently, I called my doctor an hour ago about scheduling my Colonoscopy. I had one 10 years ago, and my time is up. Dave Berry's description was more dramatic than what I remember. However, I do remember talking to the nurse, then not remembering it. I wonder if one can request specific music. While there is nothing wrong with well-crafted pop song, I wouldn't chose ABBA.

I almost peed myself reading that, somehow it didn't seem that funny when I had it done.

How timely! I just had the same procedure a month ago. This describes it perfectly. The good news is that I was pronounced good to go, and won't have to subject myself to this again for another 10 years.

I think Barry nailed it, that's why its so funny. Rather than chicken broth, my meal for the day was jello, jello and more jello. After the procedure the first meal tasted soooo good.
