Old Pharts at TofC Solvang TT?
any 50+ers plannin on bein in Solvang for the TofC TT?
I'm plannin on goin for the day
if anyone wants to meet up for a cuppa java or such, lets setup a time and place...
up there early and wanna ride?
9 am ish
I'm gonna do a short Bimble out&back on Santa Rosa Rd from Buellton towards Lompoc and back, about 33 miles. AB FAB country lane. small ring stuff
willbe peeurrfect temps and some of the flower fields may already be bloomin.
start at the Diner (forget the name, there is only one) south side across the street (Rt 246) from PeaSoup Andersen's on Ave of the Flags. this is all just 100 yds WEST side of the 101/246 interchange - no brainer.
then grab some lunch before ridin into Solvang for the doins...
hang around, cause some trouble, maybe pickup a TT bike or 2 (yust kiddin... )

Don't mince words
Are you talking about Ellen's Pancake House?
We eat there the day after the Solvang Century. We ate there for the first time in 1986. It's consistently good food.
I'll miss the TT but will be there for the century next month. Take lots of pics and watch out for TT bikes that try to follow you home...

Hi,
I was supposed to go but I am sitting in my hotel room in St. Louis (on a business trip) and I'm sick.
I've got a couple of 50+ buddies who are heading up on Friday morning. I was supposed to go with them.
It should be an exciting day. I'll be watching it on Versus assuming I survive my flight home tomorrow.

sorry to hear that cleave. hope you bounce back quickly.
I had a 3 day bout with a cold just a week ago. Its been a while since I had one and all those pesky symptoms just bummed me out. Decided the best thing was to get out and ride anyway - just took it easy and bimbled around on the mtb.
was actually fun and for a brief time I forgot I was sick... :-)
Solvang should be fun
lookin forward to 2 things - the whole race circus - checkin to see if ANY of them might have chicken legs as bad as mine ;-)
I really miss Rassmusen - I could always point to him and say "Yeah, well look at his legs and he can ride the bike!" ( with a little juice ;-\ )
