Friday the 13th Ride: Blessed or Cursed?

The sun was shining when I left: Blessed

I rode through two squalls: Cursed

One of them had a rainbow: Blessed

The wind drove rain passed my glasses and into my eyeballs: Cursed

No flats: Blessed

Nowhere to hide from the headwind: Cursed

Photo-ops: Blessed

Trudging through mud to get to them: Cursed

Experiencing dramatic weather and having fun: Blessed

The photographic evidence:

I enjoyed the very scenic pictures, thanks. Looks like a great place to ride but a bad place to get caught out in a storm! I barely got started today before getting stoped by a serious snowstorm. Ridetime= 39 minutes. Alas, I did not take my camera.

No ride for me on the 13th as Work got in the way. I had planned an evening ride but after a long day at work and frost- I will have to do the ride tomorrow (Or today as it now is)

Glad to see someone got out and took the chance of all the superstitious nonsense that could have come about.

Why does friday the 13th. always fall on a friday? At this time of the year it makes it awkward. Hopefully March will be easier.

Nice pictures, RR.

My ride was blessed....the flat tire wasn't on my bike

Twelve of us headed out for a short 30 mile ride and a stop at one of our favorite restaurants. It was a great winter day with temps in the low 40's and wind less than 10 mph. One of the fellows had a flat about 7 miles into the ride.....but at least it was a front tire.

This ride proved that the time I've spent in the gym this winter was well worth it

There is no such thing as Friday the 13th ...only by chance that the thirteenth day of the month sometimes is on Friday.
Too cold here for me to ride so I wait patiently for warm.

For those who missed it, there will be another Friday the 13th coming up in March. Pie for everyone who rides and laughs in the face of superstition...

WHOA! Did you see that black cat that just crossed in front of us?? Hey, watch out for that broken mirror glass in the road up ahead! And whatever you do, don't ride under any ladders!!

Actually I had a great ride on Friday the 13th. But I got up this morning and it was all cold again. But on the way to my morning ride, I passed this, and couldn't help but wonder if someone was breaking mirrors on Friday the 13th.
