Social

I went Saturday to the Rose Bowl for the end of leg 8 of the Tour of California.
I found most of the cyclists to be very social, or willing to talk about the race, to answer questions, to ask questions.
I tend to talk to everyone.
If I find one that doesn't respond, or doesn't say anything, I just move on to the next, and talk to them.
I am also a motorcyclist. And again, whenever I stop I talk to everyone, particularly the other bikers, and again, most talk, and if they don't I just move on to someone else.
Sure some are anti social, or can't or don't talk, or maybe are having a bad day or moment and have nothing to say, so I move on.
Mostly I mean around California. But other places too. Particularly in small towns. I guess in small towns they don't get to talk to so many people, so when someone does come through, they like to ask, where you from, where you going, etc.

I tend to approach people the same way. I'll talk to just about anyone, anytime, or anyplace. Who knows, the next person you speak with may have solved the mystries of the universe.

I will talk to anyone- but I have got into a nasty habit of finding Nerds. You only have to say a couple of words to them and all you get for the next two hours are all the facts and figures on the ride you are watching. They know all the ins and outs of the various teams and the bikes they are using and I even had one of them quote most of the UCI rule book at me off the top of his head.

But have to agree- not all people are as friendly- Just wish I could find the ones that don't wish to talk.
