I think being confused is critical

N+1 does in NO WAY--ABSOLUTELY NO WAY POSSIBLE--any longer apply to me.

All I want is T+1

Enough time to ride every day

Hey, I'm getting damned tired of this stationary recumbent!! Too much work--but then--in this economy, I'm lucky. Guess some serious life decisions are getting close.........even more serious than riding a bike

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........the perils we over 50 travel--the roadies have no idea of life.

I'll trade with you.
I'm retired and have lots of time to ride -- when my also retired wife doesn't have a "project" for me.
My problem is my doc says no riding because of my shoulder surgery (January 6) and I don't see him again until March 9 and I kinda get the feeling he'll make me wait until April.
He's a bike commuter so maybe he'll show me a little compassion.

N+1 doesn't give up that easily. It doesn't have to be an expensive new bike and it doesn't have to make sense, but you are fooling yourself if you think you are immune.

Dead right- You will be passing a yard sale one day and there will be a bike at the back. Bit neglected but when you sit on it- it fits. Enquire about the price and you weigh it up. Cost of new tyres and tubes- New cables and probably a can of WD40 to free everything up. Couple that in with the cost of the bike and n+1 is not a problem.

The problem then is staying away from Yard sales.

And resisting is futile.
