Hit 200 lbs on BP today.
I know, I know - that is nothing to a lot of you, and some of you don't even believe in the bench press.
But, years ago, I used to do 220 on the BP, then I dropped to around 175. I vowed to get back up, and, on my journey there, I did get to 200 lbs today.
So, there!!
We 69+'rs CAN improve.

Oh 200 on the bench press. At how many reps? Very good job. I was definitely confused there for a minute.

I am impressed, Denver.
For me, one benefit of being temporarily (I hope) retired is that I have had time to lift weights at the YMCA every third day. Now that my rotator cuff tendon problem is abating nicely, I am almost back to where I was on the military press. I would like to blame my uninspiring bench press performance on the injury, but I honestly cannot.

Nice job Dnvrfox. I bet the most of the guys in the gym noticed what you did, even if they didn't say anything to you.

What they notice at the gym is when I add 50 pounds with a weight belt and then do 10 dips, followed by 20 pushups.

Single reps @ max, by yourself with no spotter? You are a hardazz! I have to sneak in my squat sets in the basement when my wife is upstairs. Our boy's told her I needed a spotter therefore I have "orders". At least I keep my reps @ 10 - 12 per set and under 200lbs.
