Yup, I guess it is. Pi day is still more than a week away, just before the Ides of March.

Yes, I should have written Pi Day, not Pie Day. Every day is Pie Day.

Looks more like Square Day to me. 3 squared equal 9.
But then today could also be Square Day 3/2/09
We also have both 1/9/09 and 9/1/09. And 08+01=09. 10-01=09 -9+18=09 06+03=09 11-02=09
and so forth
Also don't forget 3 divided into 27 equals 09. Or the ever popular Triple 9 day of 09/09/09
See, you've gotten me started.
Everytime I go to church and look at the board that lists the numbers of hymns to be sung, I try to find mathematical relationships between the numbers. For example, if we are singing hymns number 188 and 282, those are both multiples of 47. I try to answer the question: If there were a 5th song, what number would it be?

And I am satisfied by determining if the number of letters in a saying or a sentence is divisible by three.
You far outdo me.
I.e., we have a motto over the fireplace:
If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
Which is not only divisible by 3, but has the same number of letters on both sides of the comma.
But, after 60 years of doing this, I have not yet decided how (or if) to count punctuation marks. Sometimes I use them to "fudge" a bit.
Incidentally. Denver Fox is divisible by 3, while Tom Bombadil is not.

I never play around with letters or words. Hate crossword puzzles. Strictly a numbers guy.
Twice I've seen late night talk shows (Carson, Letterman, Leno) that had math whizzes on. They gave them complex problems to solve, which wooed and wowed the crowd. Both times I finished the problems ahead of them and was sitting there wondering how long it was going to take them.

Is March 27th cube root day? Or is September 3rd?
And I guess we missed last year's cube root days of February 2, 4, and April 2 and 4.
This is way too much higher math for me.

actually, 7/22 would be 1/pie day- so on pie day, eat your piece of pie. On 7/22, eat the rest.
