That's why I'm turning to you guys. I know you understand. This bike is a thing a beauty. A work of art. And it's rapidly becoming my best friend. I thought I'd share some photos with you.

I want to have me one of those.

But, a work of art requires the tire repair kit/tools box to go into a saddle wedge, as suggested by BluesDawg.
Last time around, I got a wedge kit with everything I needed. The kits are nice since you don't pay a la carte prices for every item you put in them. This time around, the LBS didn't have the wedge kit but they did have the box kit. We'll see how that works out.

Kickstands and superfluous U-lock brackets damage frames.
I'll take your advice to heart. I don't use the u-lock bracket, just the lock that came with it. So I could lose that and never miss it. Suggestions on kickstand alternatives for parking the bike away from home would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have to confess: I've been riding as an adult for more than 40 years, and all bikes look pretty much the same to me. I can tell my Atlantis from my Rambouillet because one is green and the other one's orange, but otherwise....

So, why did you buy both if you can't tell them apart?

As long as we are piling on, what about the spoke reflectors, handlebar reflector, dork disk etc. Just kidding and nice bike. Any wife who just says give me the receipt is ok in my book.

If you really can't tell bikes apart, I'll spray paint my Univega green and trade you for the Atlantis...

No criticizem here, just wanted to know why so much steerer tube. Generally if you have to have that much rise from the steerer tube the fame is too small. Were it an all carbon fork disaster would ensue with that many spacers.
