Anyone Riding the Pasadena Marathon Route, March 22, 2009

Just curious.

I am JUST starting to ride again so I am riding the 26 miles mostly because it is right around my house and when will I ever get a chance to ride on the local streets while closed?

If anyone is interested, the last day to register is tomorrow, March 18th. I don't plan on riding very fast, but I do plan on finishing! I'll be on a Look 171KG frame in deep burgundy. Say Hi as you pass me!

My friend and I will be there, just signed up yesterday.

I hope to be there. If the rain is not too severe. And if there is any parking left.
They just figured out that we start in the night, so they said 'you might want to bring a light'.
I hope it's not too crowded.

Rain? What rain? Don't jinx us man!

I am planning on getting down there really early. Probably about 5:15am for the 6am start time. I live close by but my girlfriend wants to drive the bike over in the truck - go figure.

Crowded? OF COURSE its going to be crowded. Personally, I think it is going to be kinda nuts.
I don't have lights on my bike but maybe I should consider going out to get some. Suggestions anyone?

Everywhere we will be riding is a lit street as far as I know and sunup is at 6:54.

Dan, rain don't fall by jinx. It falls by prediction. And the prediction is getting worse. So bring your rain poncho. Which I don't have a poncho, so I'm bringing towels.
I have a light, but I'm hoping there will be some street lights or something.
6:54 I hope to be half way done.
My light is a generic bike store screw onto handlebars. 4 AA batteries. (19.95)
I don't think I'm gonna use it, though. I guess I better have it ready.
