Performance E3 Curve Carbon Bars

Is anyone riding the Performance E3 Curve OS Carbon handlebar? A neighbor was cleaning out a deceased relative's garage and found a pair of these that had never been mounted. He gave them to me knowing my love of cycling and cycling toys. They look interesting, but.... changing handlebars is one of the most annoying bike chores I do. I'd rather replace or lube all the bearings in my wheels, pedals, etc. before doing a handlebar swap.... getting everything just right seems to take forever. So, before I even consider doing this, are any of you riding with this bar? If so, what's you assessment of it?

Now I did hear that these early performance E3 bars were superceded by the E5.72 due to a manufacturing fault- but you could always prove me wrong.
