Enlist wife or buddy.
Two cars.
Leave one car at the start point.
Leave the other car 50 miles to the NE.

Oh, wait. You'll spend all day driving.

Okay here's a better plan. Just keep riding NE until the wind changes.

You're welcome.

Not far you can go NE from Savannah GA, since it's on the Atlantic coast. I guess you could skim the coast and head up to Charleston. Good luck with that.

I rode last Sunday with 20+ mph winds. I rode into the wind for about an hour or so. That was the exercise part of the ride. The trip back was a real blast! What fun going 28 to 30 mph for extended runs, even with a few slight inclines. It was probably worth battling the headwinds just for the fun on the way back.

Yep about 15 miles and I'd be in the Atlantic.

KK4DF, just curious what the "E" in your name is????

Well, if you're going to let physical geography limit your ambition, I can't be of any help.
When I was boy I used to ride my bike back and forth to school underwater.

In the winter.

Uphill both ways.

Dang was that you?

I thought there was someone else riding in that water.

Around here that is known as a great April day. You'd think anyone tough enough to ride through an Atlanta would have no trouble dealing with a bit of moving air.

My headwind solution is just to gear down and enjoy it. Except for the wind noise, that works like a charm.

"Nearly three days of rain?"

It's been raining all week. We talk in terms of weeks of rain 'round these parts.

Ed I soooo feel your pain. I've been dying to ride and now that I've mounted my new Schwalbe Supreme tires and can't even take her for a long ride I'm feeling even worse. My new HardRock is all dressed up with no place to go.

Forcast for tomorrow shows Partly Cloudy/Wind then Mostly Clear. I think a ride is in the cards tomorrow.

I feel no sympathy for your rain.

At least not as long as snow remains in our forecast. Forecast is another 3" to 7" on Sunday.
