Good reading about road rights & LEOs

https://tinyurl.com/cpqeyh A great article on Bicycling magazine's blog on road rights; It is long but should be required reading! It's from Tallahassee cyclist and police office Mark Wheeler. Read the feedback section as well, some people just don't get it. Go here -> https://tinyurl.com/cpqeyh

I didn't read the whole thing. Seems to have started with whiny people. I don't do whiny.

I was hoping to find out what an LEO is. All I can think of is the guys who run banks--Lunatic Executive Officers, or Loudmouthed Egotistical Oafs.

Anyway, the way I figure, if I'm pulled over--no matter what the vehicle or circumstance, I pull over. If I'm issued a ticket, that's fine. If I disagree with the ticket, that's what court is for.

LEO is Law Enforcement Officer, and you do get it, no matter what the situation it is insane to escalate the issue. IMHO

Whenever I get pulled over my prime objective of the moment becomes "Avoid the ticket." That means being friendly, polite and maybe even a little apologetic while the police officer is deciding what course of action he should take.

This LEO was way over the line IMHO but the thing was escalated by both parties

Bicycling magazine has something to say of note. Holy cow that is almost as big of news as Obama was NOT on 60 min. tonight.

Did I miss the part where the LEO ordered the cyclist to stop.
I did read that the LEO simply yelled at the cyclist "to get off the road".

I also must of missed the part where the cyclist were found guilty of something.

The LEO is so clueless that he thinks standing on the pedals = wagging a butt in disrespect.
