Entered my first time trial
Did it Tuesday evening. It's an 8.12 mile course not far from my house. Rode it in 24 minutes, 34.8 seconds at an avg. speed of 19.5 mph. That's real slow. I wound up 67th out of 75 riders. Lots of fun, though.

Good for you!!
Was the course an out and back or a loop?
Did you ride a TT bike, modify your road bike or just ride it the way you normally have it set up?

Nice job! You beat 11% of the other riders. Now start training and break even more hearts. Beating young guns makes one feel good, oh so good...

Nice going! If you didn't finish dead last at your first TT, you're doing well.
I am envious. They stopped putting on my local time trial just as I was starting to count on it.

Good job on the TT ride! Wish we had some short TT's like that around here (or maybe I just don't know about them). All of the timed events I ride in are at least a century, sometimes two.
Still, it's good to go out for 8.2 miles (13.2 km) and redline it for 24 minutes. Was it a flat course or with a lot of climbs? Did you use clip-on bars or did you go full aero TT?

The course was kind of an out and back loop. It stuck to the shoulder of a four lane divided highway, so on the way back, we were mostly out of sight of the road we rode out on. Some folks call it a hilly route, others say it's relatively flat, compared to what they usually ride. It has several easy hills, and one tougher one. It also has a good downhill stretch where my unmodified bike can get up to 35 mph if conditions are right. I hit 33 on that part last night against the wind.
I just rode my everyday road bike. No aero bars, no modifications. I just wanted to post a time.
