Work Stand
Is anyone familiar with the Spin Doctor Quick Stand Work Stand? Is it ok to use with carbon fiber? Just got my first CF and don't want to screw up anything.
Thanks!
Thanks!

This is one of those questions you might want to run by the mechanics at one of your better LBS.
I've got a full CF Motobecane IF and I flip the bike over on a commercial grade (flat ) carpet to work on the crank derailleur or wheels and reverse (with the front wheel removed) to do anything with the seat or headset or brakes.

I am not familiar with that particular stand. Do you perhaps have the option to secure the bike by the seatpost instead of one of the frame tubes?

If you can grab it by the seat post- change the Post to an old metal one. With a C.F.Frame this is the only way to mount it on a stand.

I have a CF frame and attach it to a Park stand by the seatpost. I have watched this being done in a couple of bike shops and they were very careful not to overtighten. So am I, so far, no problemo.
