Sidi hidden feature?

Based on my experience during the past year, I'm beginning to suspect that Sidi Dominators have a hidden feature -- a sensor on the bottom of the shoe that immediately triggers the traffic light to change from red to green the instant the rider stops and plants the shoe on the ground. Seldom does this not happen.... perhaps I sometimes don't put my foot down just right. Otherwise, I can virtually count on it.

Has anyone else noticed this? It's worth every penny invested in these shoes!

If they could just get the lights to change before you have to put your foot down they would be FANTASTIC!

Hi Yen,
I own 2 pairs of SIDI and do not regret the high initial expense. One pair is still doing well after 10 years. I have another pair just in case I get soaked.
The SIDI show their value in adverse weather like cold and rainy conditions. I had other cheaper brands and they all showed issues over time.
Unfortunately I have not noticed the function you mention. I will test for it.

Metric Man: Perhaps they do and I have just not noticed that as often as the other feature. I'll have to test it!

Will: I don't regret the purchase one bit. I'm glad Stapfam told me not to look at them in the shop.... that just made me want to look, and then they magically appeared on my feet. Let me know if you notice this neat feature; maybe it's only in the Dominators.

I seem to have that same sensor as the Sidi Dominators on my Specialized BGs. It must be scientific since it's repeatable, right?

I can confirm that this feature is also included in the Genius 5.

Just made my second ride on a new pair of Genius 5's. Magic is how I would describe it.

I just ordered a pair of ruby red Sidi Genius 5s on sale. They are 2008 closeouts.

I'm very excited. I started checking the mail as soon as I hit the "send" button.

I've wanted some for a while, since I've heard so much about how comfortable they are, but I had no idea when I ordered them that they would change traffic lights. Bonus.

My Sidi Bullets do the same thing.

My Camelbak water bottles also have a sensor in them. When I reach down for it the light turns green.
