11.1 miles on a MUP path with my Specialized Rockhopper. Some of it on a raised wooden Boardwalk Nature Trail that winds through a low area .

20 miles yesterday, about 8 of which were into 20+ mph headwinds, after an 8 day layoff due to poor weather. Sunny, warm, but naturally I felt chilly, which I think is an artifact of aging. Went out today, but butt was sore. Still, my mileage is way ahead of last year. I hope that keeps up.

47 miles with 30 miles being with our local group. I felt pretty well recovered from Sunday’s 108 miler.

Totally gorgeous day. Drove to the NC foothills and rode 79 miles with 7200’ of climbing. Two similar dog encounters today. Here’s the second one where a large white dog jumped back and forth in front of my wheel.

An old grist Mill. Note the dam and old millstones

One of many clear creeks

Long views with beautiful skies

Buttercups were prolific!

Amish store lunch!

There is no 'end of the bike route' with a gravel bike...lol

Bianchi originally ordered mass quantities of blue paint for their bikes but instead the paint co screwed up and delivered that shade of green instead. Rather than waste the paint, Bianchi used it and it became their signature color, Celeste green or is it really Celeste blue or just Celeste?

My guess on model is Infinito CV endurance because I own its twin.

THAT is an interesting story - thx for sharing. Sort of like how the 3M Post Its were created - a failure/mistake.

Last ride on the 7th. Had a early Mom's Day and brothers birthday gathering on Sat. morning and it rained all afternoon, of and on snow showers today. Here's some photos from the overlook at Palmer Park, here in Co. Springs, CO. WOW, it's one STEEP road getting up there but it's the only PAVED road in the whole park, which was built for MTB's and Hikers!

Another 2-a-day day.
Rolling Conti5000s. I think the secret to these is lower pressure. A hard riding tire at the pressure of my VeloFlex, Vittoria, Specialized, Wolfpack, etc. Resembles my 22mm Sprinter tubulars, just at tad wider.

Nice and shady

One of many such bridges on this route

A little ‘white water’ for tubers.

New sunglasses. Short sleeves and shorts. Chilly in th morning, but sunny helps. Perfect for late afternoon ride.

Aborted our trip to the beach.......after I’d ridden about half way to Laurinburg. I talked to my wife after only seeing one store with gas after riding 40+ miles and we agreed to postpone the trip. Colonial Pipeline shut down their pipeline last week due to a cyber attack and there’s been a big run on gasoline.

I was planning to spend the night in Laurinburg and My wife was going to pick me up tomorrow on her way to the beach. I was excited about trying out my route from the house to Laurinburg which is 100+ miles from my house and half way to the beach. There aren’t a lot of choices crossing the Pee Dee River on a bike.

Turned around in Norwood and headed back home. I had no clue that Norwood was not that far from Aquadale which is a town I’ve been to frequently. Things you figure out while exploring.

I talked to a Highway Patrolman in Oakboro and he told me they didn’t have any issues with gas availability. They have their own tanks plus they also have access to the NC DOT tanks. So don’t think you can win a fuel race with a Patrolman!!!!

Lucky find a quarter!

Oakboro depot

Today’s rig. Arkel rack with overnight bag plus a front bar bag

Folks commented that they bet I wasn’t having issues with the gas shortage
