Just under 20 miles at a 20.0 pace. That was preceded by an easy hike this morning. Now, it's time to go catch a movie.

SIW = Southern Indiana Wheelmen. About half of their membership is from KY because they're a bit more easy-going.

Anyway, we didn't do any of the truly nasty climbs in SI. Good thing, because as I approach a steep climb I tend to panic and spin out. I just can't use my lowest gears yet because of the twitchy bent thing.

Takes a while to get used to climbing on a 'bent. I'm still working on it.

Not as sunny today, but still the temp topped out at 45F today. Got in about 20 miles.
Have never ridden three days in a row at Christmas while living in Indiana. Might get some snow Tuesday.........nice stretch of weather while it lasted.

I took a very nice ride along the Scenic Little Miami Trail in South Western Ohio - near Ft. Ancient.
Sunny and very nice today. I did not count time, or miles - just enjoyed a rare sunny and fair day in winter.

I am going to try to ride all winter - we will see, as the forecast is snow later on in the week.

Finally, finally, finally! I got on the bike for the first time in 30 days since my crash and back injury. I decided to take it really easy and ended up doing a slow paced, 6.25 mile ride with my wife in the neighborhood. Felt great to get back on the bike again. No aches or pains after the ride so tomorrow will be a little farther and a little faster. I hope to get back to my normal riding regiment in the next two weeks as I have a club ride coming up on the 10th.

Another ride down memory lane for me today. I rode down to the middle school that I graduated from back in 1953 or 54. I use to play hooky on the last period and go get my Western Flyer bike. Then I would profile up and down the street and call myself going fast and looking cool..I must been doing about 10 or 15 mph back then. On a bike exactly like this bike:

Today, I went pass the school on the same street doing at least 25 mph.. On my 85 Raleigh Prestige

Then I stopped downtown for a picture of my bike.

Our son is in town (arrived too late for the Christmas Eve ride), so when a teammate suggested a ride with a couple hours' notice we jumped on it. Son got some countryside hammering in with the 2 really fast guys, and c_gallagh and I spent some quality time with our son. A time to savor, for sure.

Whoopee!

Trails plowed, just a bit of ice here and there. 45F, just a little wind - perfect riding, bright sun. Got out for a couple of hours. Great riding weather.

Mostly flat 43 miles on the tandem with temps 60+- and a lunch at about the 1/2 way point. Great way to spend time on one of my days off.

50 miles at just under 20-mph average. It was a beautiful day here. I started out with a short sleeve shirt under a long-sleeve shirt. At the 23 mile point, I stopped for snack and took off the top shirt. Later, I came up on another rider with pants, a jacket, gloves and a cap under his helmet. I guess he was cold....I mean the windchill was probably down to 70F.

Did 23 miles early this morning. Temps weren't horrible, but the wind was terrible. I was fighting 20+mph winds with gusts near 30 mph. So, parts of my ride I was zipping along quite fast, but a majority of the ride I had some type of headwind and struggled. I still did the 23 miles. Tomorrow morning is just a mild breeze, but the temps at 7am are supposed to be in the mid 20s.

First sub-freezing ride of the season: Rode to work this morning when it was 23°F, with a windchill of either 18° or 13° depending on which weather report you believe.

A modest ten mile ride after work this evening. Temps still above seasonal average - low 40's.
Winter temps will be coming late New Year's Day.

I did 15 miles around 6 am this morning, when it was dark and 33 degrees. I was running my el-cheapo head lights..That was fun..It was cold enough for me to put on my cold weather motorcycle gloves. I had 3 layers down the bottom and 5 layers plus facemask up top, and thick socks.
