I got 50.2 miles in. Wanted to get my metric century in for the month but my legs said otherwise.

18.2 miles (29.3k), 29° but sunny, still a lot colder than I would like. Popcicle ride. 6 days of no ride after eye (cataract) surgery. Sure feels good to see out of my left eye again.

22 miles Friday afternoon. Felt slower than usual due to exhaustion and 15 mph wind, but actual speed was about the same as usual. Temp was 50F, a bit lower with wind chill, and my toes were numb by the time I got home despite the layered socks and toe covers. I might need to try that aluminum foil trick again, or something comparable. Those Scott Road Pro shoes definitely ain't for cool or cold weather.

4 miles after work yesterday evening in spring-like 60F weather. Finally got my short wheelbase 'bent put back together - ready to be my 2018 commuter bike - and took it out for first ride in about 13 months. Poured down rain an hour or two later.
Today - temp 30 degrees lower but dry and was able to get a 7 mile ride on the long wheelbase ti bike after work.

59 Miles, first dry day with temps over 40°. Just finished reading Leonnard Zim's "Haywire heart", panicked and searched everywhere for my heart rate monitor, bought new batteries for it and went out. I rode over 4 hours at close to 100% of my aerobic max, and the readings were from 185 to 211 BPM. Now after a half hour rest it's fluctuating between 124 and 130 BPM. I have no clue what that means, I'm sure nobody does. I'm 68, ride fairly hard 50-55 miles every other day when the weather is good. Rode over 6K miles last year, been riding 25+ years. Also I have constant A-Fib. I had a cat-scan last week showing 0 plaque, Dr said I have the heart of a healthy 30 year old. A bunch of interesting but useless information, Only thing it shows that that "Your age-80 is your max heart rate" is nonsense.

18.4 miles (29.6k). Considerably warmer today by about 18° and sunny. Probably the last day to ride for a few days, Wind, rain, more wind on the way. Sure messes up a weekend.

42 miles yesterday in foggy conditions with two riding buddies. Today, I did the Honor Ride from the Trop, along the Pinellas Beaches, down to Fort Desoto and down to the Skyway Bridge before going back to the Trop. A total of 61 great miles.

Now I'm 50 I can post here

Headed south on the bike path for around 80km then turned around and came back hitting long stretches of gravel.
Slight tailwind on the way back.

Checked my monthly mileage and saw that I needed at least 40 mile rides for the rest of the month to top 1K. So today I did a 40 mile recovery ride for yesterday's charity ride.

Today I got in my first ride in a week because of the typical winter weather. With all the rain last week and even more predicted for next week, I was happy to get in a 2.5 hour ride in between all these rain events.

Second tandem ride of 2018 this afternoon with my favorite stoker. Twelve suburban miles. A couple of forgettable hills. Mid-40's but breezy.

I got another 52 miles in today. That gives me my 100 miles for the week. I just need to keep this up so I can make my 5k miles for the year come Dec 31.

Windy, Chilly ride uphill from the Illinois River to Morton Illinois and back. Maiden Voyage of my new-to-me 1987 Nishiki Olympic my bike mechanic buddy just tricked out. It rode great, and I had a lot of fun with my favorite ride partner, my 15 year old daughter.

27 miles Sunday evening, took a flatter route than usual -- didn't have the energy to tackle both the hills and 15-20 mph wind simultaneously. Pleasant, cool, overcast.

Out on Saturday morning. Very windy....was like someone was pulling me back. Even had to pedal to go downhill.....

Got 17 miles in before I had to give up. My thighs are still hurting! A few miles from home, I took shelter in a bus stop. Had to get in out the wind!. Lay on the bench, ate my protein bar and had a drink.....it was actually quite nice. It was a quiet road, very little traffic.

Made it home, but my legs were FROZEN! As soon as I got in to the warmth, the itch started.....drove me mad!

Did a 10 mile, light session on Zwift on Sunday, to ease off the legs....dint work!

Night off tonight....

After battling too much wind yesterday for a couple hours my sore legs said no to a ride today. As a consolation I went to the park and walked the quarter mile track for 1 hour. It was even more windy today with powerful gusts. It made walking against the wind a real chore. We tied the record high of 77F for 02/19. No wonder I worked up a sweat during my walk today.

Last Sunday was a beautiful day to ride. So I got a small group together for the first time and we rode and enjoyed a great day. No land speed records set, but we had a blast.

Bike cleaning/maintenance day yesterday so no ride. Nice and hot this morning at 7:00 am (in the 70s) and it was windy and humid to boot. Oak tree pollen was heavy this morning and getting everything green. No riding buddies today so it was a good 40 mile solo ride.

Looks like a menacing Biker Gang.

I was able to get out for a 7 mile ride in quite warmish conditions yesterday evening after work.

DANG, left the house and spritzing from the sky. Made it to the ride start with clearing but windy conditions. First mile was somewhat sane but then 28mph!!!!! Fast then faster then ease on back to fast then faster and rinse-repeat so didn't hang on too long. Took a short cut then hooked on again and then OFF AGAIN . Gotta love it!!!!!

76 miles completed under sunny, warm, windy conditions. First time in many-MANY years I've bicycled 4 days in a row. Feeling good despite some unsettling news regarding my Prostate Cancer. Finally also had an after ride scale weight of 136lbs instead of the 145lbs I've been stuck at. Tomorrow day 5???? Only the SHADOW KNOWS.

Ditto just like yesterday. Another extremely windy day ahead of this week's big rain event. I decided to get in another 1 hour walk in the park.
