Rode 25.45 miles this afternoon, I saw a doe and her fawn crossing the road into the field towards a pond. It was still very small, probably not more than a few weeks old at best, had the new born spots. It stuck right with momma as they ran into the woodline. Its getting towards fall, only 6 days until my favorite season starts, bring it on.

First local ride on my new to me Litespeed Siena. 21.5miles & 1230' of climbing @ 18 mph. Put it on Strava and cursed the fact that I missed the end point of an 0.6 mi / 170' hill climb segment on which I knew I had just completely blown away my personal best. So -- with just enough daylight to spare -- I took off down the road to tackle that segment again, adding another 5.4 mi. Time today on that hill climb was 3:25. Previous best was 4:28 (on a mtb). Looks like the Siena is going to work out well.

Fairly tough but enjoyable 46.3m pm today. Average 15.4 on my 29er mtb with slicks. Can't wait for the trails to reopen after recent flooding.

I rode a "winter route" which is short (13.4 miles) and is centered around places where I could make a warm-up stop. I haven't adapted to this weather change yet. Even though the temps were in the 60's.... I am freezing.

You'll love that bike! Very nice.

Today's ride the same as Monday, only a little slower. Perhaps that I left a little earlier and wasn't chasing the setting sun took some of the pressure (speed) off.

No ride yesterday - rained out. Our rain gauge showed 4.5" of rain between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Not a very nice day for tourist in Florida.

Nice temps in the low 70's when we started the ride this morning. Humidity stayed low and a nice breeze turned into a pretty good headwind before the ride ended. A good 45 mile ride today.

Planned on 35 but only got in half of that before the rains came. It was still a great ride.

Busy yesterday after riding, and had to have an MRI to see if I have a brain this morning, yesterday was 28+ miles, very nice weather, got in just ahead of a thunderstorm passing through our area.

How'd that MRI work out?

Like Dizzy Dean's x-rays, did it reveal nothing?

They were amazed, and the tech called in others to see the scan on his computer screen, turns out I actually have a brain, just cannot figure out why it isn't getting used any My apologies to those of you that just lost a bet.

As Ol' Diz would have said, I slud into that one...

There are some hellacious fires in California that are sending tons o' smoke to Northern Nevada. The air quality is really bad, assaults the nostrils.
Neither rain nor sleet nor smoke in the air shall stay
this brave rider from his daily appointed ride!

But I did cut the ride short Thursday to only 12.83 miles. Still a little smoky today but took a normal 18mi. ride on the Sirrus Hybrid. Can't let a little thing like the world on fire keep me from riding.

Rode earlier today, the weather was very nice, lower temps and humidity made for some great riding. 25.4 miles.

20 miles at daybreak. I rode with a buddy who can fly and it amazes me how much faster I ride when I'm with him.

Rode 32 miles in the Le Tour de Bayou this morning. Great ride: Sportstracklive | Map
Was a bit faster on the trip out than on the return. My pal pushed a little harder on his gas pedal and I foolishly followed him. Nothing at all to a better rider, but I paid for it on the return trip.

Still a great ride and I need to push myself, anyway. Nowhere near enough riding this year; I can feel it.
