Missed yesterday because of the winds, we were under a warning for high winds from the /NWS, here. Too nice a day to miss riding today, it was 75°F while I rode, less wind than any time in several weeks. 26.46 miles and loved every minute of it.

It was a gorgeous day today for a ride. Unfortunately, my 11 mile ride happened on the wife's recumbent trike and rollers. Still having BP issues and don't want to chance having something happen while on the road. Everything went well so hopefully I'll be back on my bike in the next few days.

From the looks of his right shin, this wasn't his first crash. And, he's still clipped in, too, that is going to leave a mark.

Rode 20+ miles this afternoon, 30°F colder than yesterday's ride, 46°F when I was out, and NNW winds that were 15-25mph, just to make it interesting I guess.

Finally got a ride on the road bike but it was on the trainer. Got a 25 mile session with stops every 15 minutes to take and record my vitals. Everything looks great, so tomorrow it will definitely be a ride on the road.

First ride outdoors since Feb 4th and it rains toward the end of the ride. Rode 33 miles out of a scheduled 35 miles in 70* temps.

4th ride of the year nice even if only 10 miles. It was a balmy 33 with a bit of a breeze, sunlight and a brief snow squall. Go figure. Still a welcome respite from the 0-20 weather we've been having. Last year I didn't get my fourth ride in until the middle of March!

20.5 miles this afternoon, temp was 42°F and mild, smooth 10-15 mph winds, no gusts like the last few weeks have frequently had. I'll just blow my nose more often, and enjoy each minute of the riding.

I've done about 85 miles in the past week, mostly on the trike. Been a bit cold which gives me the bike path mostly to myself and the dog walkers. I'm ready for Spring/Summer.

We made a good attempt for a ride today. I went with the wife and committed to ride with her since it was her first ride since Jan 23rd. Winds were out of the WNW at 12 mph with 22 mph gusts and fairly consistent. By mile 3, she was pretty beaten up by the winds so we took advantage of the tailwinds, turned around and called it a day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better since the weekend doesn't look too promising with high a percentage of rain predicted for Saturday and Sunday.

Made up for not riding this morning by riding to the gym (literally, almost up to the reception desk), to the library and back. . . .

22 days till Spring! (do I have that number right?) Maybe soon I'll be able to post in this thread more than once in a great while.............
"Rode" the recumbent exercise machine at the Y this evening for 20 min. after using the weight machines. Not a bad approximation of riding a recumbent bike but still it's not riding a bike.

Rode to work this morning, will ride home this afternoon. 55 Deg.F when I left the house, so really a nice day for a ride. Quite dark at 5:15AM depart but getting light by the time I got to work.

Did my first ride in over two weeks on Friday. Out and back on a nice little hill climb, about 2K of climbing over 25 miles or so. Legs really feeling the layoff.

Cold, but sunny. We had about 18" of snow last weekend, and the roads were still covered with salt and sandy junk. In winter every road is a gravel road, so naturally I used the new Diverge gravel bike. Here is the pic I promised:

100.1 miles with 4100' of climbing. Temps were 32-37 all day, sadly I never felt cool. I guess I'm accustomed to it now. I started solo but 30 miles in one of the locals came up from behind and we rode the next 40 together. It was great having company but he's stonger than me so I pushed harder than I'd planned for but it was good training. Lots of remnants of the snow we got on Thursday.

I probably should have gone shorter. I've been off the bike for a couple weeks and I could really tell it today's.

Jim,
Nice looking new bike, glad that you got back out for a bit.

25.9 miles this afternoon, checking out some new roads to expand my options a bit. It was supposed to be a clear day out, stayed partly to mostly cloudy all day and its sprinkling right now. Hopefully tomorrow won't get washed out. New Sidi Genius 5 shoes, black, are on order, hurry up and get hereplease. Half-off at Competitive Cyclist, jumped on that one.

First regular 45 mile ride since I got sick, back in January. Felt fantastic riding with my buddy Lou again. Took me 23 minutes longer than my normal time for this ride but I'll take it for now. Felt good during and after the ride so I think I'll do a repeat tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Another nice ride today. 35 solo miles in temps that felt like it was already August. I did manage some short sprints but slowed it down when the HR hit 150. Really hoping we can find a solution to this BP problem when I see the doc on the 10th.
