50.1 mi. @ 20 mph avg. 2:30:36

I was on the verge of leg cramps the last 6 miles, it made the last 20 minutes pretty miserable.

Partly cloudy and cool for a perfect riding day. Kiwanis group ride up (I emphasize UP) old hiway 395 to the Chocolate Nugget. About 1200' of climbing - with extra gravity. My 220lbs is not exactly best friends with gravity. But there was chocolate!
18.4 miles with a high of 37.58 mph (the fastest I've ridden in a long time), of course downhill.

Another 42.7 on the tandem today. Our streak of consecutive metric centuries stops at 3.

59 miles on Day 1 of Tour de Wyoming. More headwind than I like the last 30 miles. 88 miles on tap for tomorrow from New Castle to Custer. Yes. We spend several days inSouth Dakota.

I drove out to the western suburbs of Richmond, VA (Manakin Sabot, VA) parked in a church parking lot, and started from there. I had my old ancient Garmin eTrex GPS on the handlebars, and it measured 30.35 miles vs what MapMyRide said. But nonetheless, I had a great time earlier today just before lunch. I rode at an avg speed of 15.3 mph and was a little tired when I was done, but nothing bad. I haven't ridden that far since I was a teenager! I'm happy that at 54, I was still able to do it!

Nothing today for me. Smacked my knee into a rock while trail running yesterday, resulting in swelling and stiffness. Gonna have to take it easy for a couple of days, I guess. Drat.

35.5 miles @ 17 mph Warm (87 deg) but low humidity again today. Gave me 201 miles for the week. First time I've cracked 200 since I had the second ablation. So far so good.

Saturday I rode the local "Pedal for Paws" a benefit for the humane society. My intent was to ride the 47 mile loop but of course I ended up riding the 65 miler with 3800 feet of climbing. This is 20 miles more than my longest this year. I took it slow and made liberal use of my granny gear. It was a very nice course and I can't complain about any climbing as I live in the area and am well aware of the topography-short but steep hills with nice flat runs in the valleys. Its the 1st metric century I've done in a couple of years but nice to know that it can still be done.

35 with the guys and 36 on my own. Figured I'd stop at 65 but the sun hid behind the clouds so I rode some extra.

Checked the weather and it looked like I had a couple of hours between T Storms that were rolling through today. Plenty of time to get in an interval workout. Set out and was having a nice productive session hitting my power numbers and feeling good. You know what happened, I know you do, on my last interval the sky opened and I mean deluge. At least I got the workout in.Just cut off the post workout easy miles and ended up with 18.6 miles.

tonight was only my second side since getting a new bike on Sunday. You guys blow me away but I have to start somewhere. I did 6.5 miles in 34 minutes, same route as Sunday with better results.

p.s. I turn 50 in November, hope we can let that slide

@NukiWaza Everyone starts with small distances, and no matter how much I ride, there's always someone who rides further, or faster. Just as long as you're having fun riding, it's all good.

Rode 39 miles with 3800 ft.

17.5 mi @ 17-21mph on the Schuylkill River trail....rained pretty hard halfway through for about 20 mins so I was soaked but it was hot out so it felt good and i was sweating to begin with. The new Kestrel Talon 105 is sweet and I upgraded the wheels to Campys with Gatorbacks. What a difference from my 99 cad3 Cdale
