Just getting old, wrong outfit, or what?

Ok, here's the background. Riding about 30% more this year, marginally faster. No changes in bike, well maybe 1mm change in saddle 6 weeks ago. I had to remove it and put it back, but think I put it almost in the same position.

Here's the problem. I'm noticing an intermittent weakness on one leg, mainly on inside of the thigh or sometimes opposite on outside. Really feels weak when try to do 90 degree turn of trunk when holding a light weight, saw 10 to 20 lbs.

Just for experiment yesterday tried using riding shorts for first time. No extra comfort noted, but did notice much less weakness.

So wondering if this is mostly likely just age, or if might be pinching a nerve or tendon as I try to ride harder which is relieved by the cycle shorts.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

thanks

Thanks. I think it was about 2 years ago, I had a similar problem and it took 2 months of rest to recover. Must be doing something wrong, just can't figure out what.
