Volunteer Assistance Needed for Annual Ride

Volunteer Assistance Needed for Annual Ride

Volunteer Needed for Annual Ride to collect the LAB forms and develop a "registration form" with info about each of our participants - emergency and bio data, screen name and real name, etc. Then to email a summary of the form - think excel spreadsheet or similar - to all who are attending ahead of time, and printing it for distribution at the ride.

Also to collect money. $5 each. Checks or cash to be sent to you.

Once collected, we would need a check sent to LAB and the insurance company.

Please let us know if you can help.

Thanks

Denver Fox

I would be glad to do this, Denver.

I use spreadsheets for cycling club rides and other volunteer groups so setting one up for the ride will be easy. Just need to provide me the addresses and information for LAB and insurance company.

Thanks, Bec. We aleady have the LAB form, but we need some further info - i.e., emergency, names to share, etc.

Could you come up with some ideas of what might be useful, both socially and otherwise.

All-in-all, I really do not expect all the folks who said they were coming to come - only natural that things come up, jobs disappear, emergencies happen.

But, on the other hand, it would be great if some of the newer folks could join us. It is not too late for a great ride!!

Here are some suggestions for content:
Screen name
Real name
Address
Phone number - probably cell for contacting each other on the ride
Emergency contact information - name and phone number
Email address - where I can mail the final copy of the spreadsheet
Hotel where you'll be staying
What days are you planning to attend

I don't know how everyone feels but I don't think the spreadsheet should be posted to this website with all our personal information. You could PM or email me the information, I can add it to the spreadsheet and distribute to the people doing the ride.

Any other suggestions for info on the spreadsheet or the best way to gather and distribute the info are welcome. If there is something on the above list that you feel shouldn't be available let me know.

I'll be leaving on a short vacation (non biking) to SC Wednesday and don't have a definite date when I'll be returning....Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Don't think I've quit if you don't hear from me for a few days. I'll have the laptop but don't know what type of access will be available.

Thanks, Bev.

I agree that the info should not be published on the forum or the web.

OK, sorry for the confusion. We have the waiver form that you and I exchanged/had trouble with. I also have to get the form(s) needed to affiliate us with the LAB- that paper work has to be sent in with the check. The waivers do not have to be sent in,. we just need to keep them on file ourselves.
