Love the pedals. Makes for a nice patriotic touch. Red, white & blue bar tape would top off the theme.

I was going to get red bar tape but changed my mind, I got blue but have yet to put it on.
I have not decided on if that will be too much blue.

I like the silver bar tape, actually. Nice link up with the Cannondale logo on the downtube. Blue can be over-done, too. Ask me how I know? I over-blued my Calfee Tetra!

I like the blue and silver theme. You can add red with a Jersey! Nice bike!

After rethinking and posts here I have to agree with the silver bar tape as well. So I guess I have a new box of blue Fizik bar tape. I still in the back of my mind am thinking red tape but that is a stretch.( sort of a bold look really)

Thanks everyone.

Nice looking bike. I'm not a fan of the silver tape, either and I agree that blue tape would be too much blue. Red, white or black might work.

Very blue. Blue bar tape would certainly be over blue. White would indeed work. I have white on my Tarmac, it stays clean enough but probably want to consider a redo after a season or two just to keep it sharp.

I'm sorry, but that silver tape just looks a lot like duct tape. Just saying.

agree

One of the problems of trying to co-ordinate colours on a bike is that one blue is not the same as another blue. You have to change to a different colour and then it doesn't matter if it is a red- along with a different red- within reason.

I had this problem on the Tandem as I started out with blue bottles- hubs- grips etc. It looked wierd. So I changed to red.

And The bike looks Good enough to ride as it is. The OCPers amongst will keep arguing about colour for years- Just get a red jersy-Black shorts with a red highlight and you will be fine- As in the link below.

I was all ready to oder this go around but as the time came it went and I forgot to place order. Next time I will for sure.

The bar tape on it now is from Cannondale and it sits as it came , except for the seat, now a Fizik Airone(matching blue ),.

Silver looks snazzy to me-very nice looking setup. The only thing left is to flip the stem!

Nice bike! Can you get duct tape with gel or with a flat finish?

Oh yeah that is in the future ( I think I said it sat as bought except for the seat but I forgot I changed out the stem as well). It had a higher (12 degree) one when I bought it but I have lowered it as I got back in shape. Flipping the stock one would have been way too much but this one can and will be.

I was going to suggest this but it may lower the bars a bit too much with the rise that is on it----BUT take the spacers out below the stem to see if you can take it. If that is OK- put the spacers back and flip it.

That low down position works for me. Bars on The OCR were raised to be level with the saddle- But Boreas and the TCR both have the bars 3" below the saddle now.
