Byee all, off on my holidays

And, unlike the last 5 years I've been living here, no firmly planned bike tour as a focus

But, I'm going back to Yorkshire UK to see my Mum and StepDad, and have a 2 day rental arranged on a tandem in the Yorkshire Dales, a region I consider heaven on earth - a hybrid Cinelli Dos Rats. Looking forward to trying that out. They say the rental price will be discounted in the event of a purchase - boy, they can see me coming.

And I've an invitation for 'no obligation, just turn up and have a go' on a Santana Niobium and a Cannondale Road 2. It'd be rude not to.

Then from Yorkshire to Greece for a week. No cycling planned for that, but the tandem rental place wants to show me an Airnimal and a Dahon folder.

Looking forward to it. And, perhaps unwisely, I've got all the credit cards paid down to zero.

If you have financial company shares, liquidate them. I foresee a renewed credit meltdown

Bumping an older thread - I hope that's acceptable

Just back in Bahrain after an excellent break in Greece and Yorkshire. And now I'm setting out the toolkit to assemble the purchase - a folder! Just one - wife and I wanted to try one, with a view to future bike tours in all the places easily accessible from Middle East, so we got the one we liked best with a view to trying it for a couple of hundred miles and , if all ok, buying another!

We chose a Xootr Swift. I'll post the unpacking and assembly pics in due course.

(We didn't spring, as yet, for the Cannondale tandem - but goodness we liked it!)
