Another Goal Down - 1/2 Cent
Got my first 50 miler yesterday, I have been riding for about 2 months, and love it, up till yesterday 32 miles was my max. Felt good to ride my age and get 50 in same day. I ran out of water on last 15 miles, considered jumping in a few ponds I passed. Finished at 13.9 mph, last 10 miles were pretty slow. Next up - Century ride.

That's a good speed for an LSD ride in this area. Are you planning an organized century in this area soon?

Watch the water thing during this August summer heat. If I or any of my friends run low on water we always pop into a gas station and fill the bottles at the bathroom sink.

Congrats on the milestone.
As you prepare yourself for the century, you'll probably hit another milestone, the metric century, 62 miles.
