Watching the ironman

There are thunderstoms in the area so no riding for me today. I'll hit the gym later and get on the dreaded elliptical.

While I'd normally be riding this time on a Saturday morning I've had time today to watch the Ironman Triathlon on Universal Sports. I'm not into tri's personally, but the stories of some of the competitors, cancer survivors, a young man who lost his leg at 8 in a farming accident, paraplegics, a Navy Seal who started the race by parachuting into the bay . . . wonderfully inspirational.

It all reminded me of a quote a friend of mine sent to me earlier this week:

"Men do less than they ought, unless they do all they can." --Thomas Carlyle

Have a good one!
