Thanks everyone. I think I need the background on the pie ride. Me and the riding buddy have picked up the large chocolate chip cookie habit. Is that close?
We did the 50 mile ride last Sunday, through the streets of Pittsburgh. What's wrong with that? You' ll hear and see a lot of us next weekend if all the idiots don't destroy it!
So where do I sign up for the 50+ jersey?
Kevin

Welcome. No, chocolate chip cookies will not substitute for pie. You may have chocolate creme pie if you wish though.

Welcome from a former W PA'er. I always ride with Steeler logo stickers on my helmets. If you ride in the city then you should consider Danny Chew's Pittsburgh Dirty Dozen ride at the end of November. (just kidding) https://www.dannychew.com/dd.html

This is a ride in which you have to eat PIE- Blueberry preferably but substitutions can be made. Realising that some of us have a weight problem- and also like PIE- if more than one slice is taken at the prescribed 15 miles (Or 7.5 if you have it on the ride) Or if more than one stop is made to eat More PIE- then you can work it off by increasing milage. As you have already stated that your milage per ride is around 50 miles- This will mean a Century ride at least for you.
But if you contact Retro Grouch- He may allow you to just do his milage while he has the PIE. Doesn't sound like a good trade to me but Retro does have a problem (Or Two)

Mini fact about Canton ave. It was paved in 77 but summer heat sent the asphalt down the hill and they came out and cleared off all the cobblestones.
