Riding with the Wife - Funny Story

Riding with the Wife - Funny Story

Today - during our "pie ride" - the wife and I were at a rest stop.

We heard some voices of riders coming down the trail.

The husband was saying something like:

"I got up real early this morning, and, knowing you had a long day ahead, I was going to sneak out for a ride."

And the wife replied, RATHER LOUDLY:

"You mean you were going on a bicycle ride WITHOUT ME!"

My wife and I, and eventually, the couple broke up in laughter.

They were a younger couple, had nice road bikes, and from all appearances, the husband would have a tough time keeping up with the wife.

Anyway, it added humor to our pie ride.

That is funny.

As we returned from the restaurant on our EZ Tandem we were approaching a father and his young son. The boy was maybe eight years old. I didn't hear what his father had said, but the boy responded with "What is a tandem?"

Our bike wobbled a slight bit as I chuckled to myself.

Cute story. Glad the other couple laughed too!

It is rare that a women is as enthusiastic about biking as some guys are. It is good to hear that there are some.
My wife quits at 30 miles unless she is on a Tandem.

You want to be extra careful riding around those 8 year olds. Don't ask me how I know.

Maybe that why he was sneaking out for a ride.
