Nothing to do with flu:I've ordered a new bike to commemorate BD #60 coming up in a few months. RANS is discontinuing their V3 - wanted to get one before they are all gone. The wife had tentatively authorized a Ti V-Rex - this is much more cost-effective and probably faster on club rides on rural Central Indiana roads.

You have some catching up to do, Grashopper. On any given ride I can choose between 4 of them in my garage! I have a feeling that the venerable V-Rex will only last a few more years before it's discontinued, too. The seat is too high and the wheelbase is too short for the more reclined seating that's popular these days.
Which one did you get - Chromo, Al, or Ti?

Steel is reel. And not ultralightweight. That's OK. I could lose a few pounds. It does come with the lighter sling-mesh seat. I can see lighter wheels in the future.
The new Enduro Sport looks to be the replacement for the V-Rex.

Congrats on the new bent. Those are very nice, I'm sure you'll love it.

Wonder what the future holds for the V-Rex and Ti-Rex, what with the introduction of the new monotube 26/20 SWB that is cheaper to buy and cheaper to produce than the Rex. Sales will decide if one or both Rex's stay in the line-up, don't you think?

No doubt, like Rans Rocket.
