New bike

Went out looking to replace my wife's vintage mixte with something a bit more up to date. Found this 2007 leftover at a local dealer. Got about 35% off MSRP and took it home. Just went for a ride and she likes it a lot. Not it's not a megadollar bike but its pretty nice. Campy "Race" triple drivetrain and Mirage shifters. I noticed the 2010 model is all Sora so they downgraded it to try to get their entry level WSD bike under the magic 1K.

A mixte to a Bianchi overnight- and it is even in the right colour.

You had better let her tyres down to about 40 and get the brakes binding. Either that or just let her disappear off into the distance after such a drastic change in bikes.

Great choice !! If the lady likes it, beyond great. Between you and me, tell her that she shows good form and looks great on it. No female could object to the color either.

2005-2007 bikes are very good values. They had better components than the 2009-2010 models and almost all of them cost less too. The dollar-yen exchange rate was much better back then.
