Agreed. But I won't go out in the snow or if the roads are icy. Just too dangerous for my tastes and abilities.

I'm more concerned about putting 35 more miles on my bike so that I can get to a nice round number for the year. I know many do a solstice ride in summer, maybe I'll try a Winter Solstice ride. Be kind of fun.
Absolutely, now I have a good reason to tell my wife that I need time off from work for an important ride. Any special costuming for a Solstice ride. Someone needs to design a commemorative jersey.

if you intend to take advantage of longest night time, then something with a reflective trim or sequins would be presentable. It's also a good time to dig into the closet for anything day glow. 1980's cycling clothing would fit the bill just right.

Maybe I can sneak something out of the Liberace Museum downtown. What about a moonlight Prime rib run?
