My bicycling career is now 50+

That's right. It's 50 years ago today that I got this bicycle.

And it would be another year or two before you grew into that bike.

that bike has some good bones for a Path Racer. Flip that stem and loose the 1" x 3"s on the pedals.

White walls! Your first bike had white walls. No wonder you have continued riding with that handsome introduction.

    Happy anniversary.

Can't help but look at the front basket on your first bike and remember the numerous mornings delivering papers with a bike and basket just like that. Seems it was always so loaded down that it was damn near impossible to steer. It took me almost a full year to earn enough money to buy rear baskets. Don't think I want to go back to those days. And that shirt looks a great deal like one that was stolen from me while swimming in the creek. Hmmm, where did you live then?

What would be real cool is to take a picture today in the same spot!
