Early Arrival

My wife's Christmas gift arrived a bit early. Yesterday a new bike appeared. It is a fully equipped Surly Long Haul Trucker, which means it has the front and back racks, the fenders and other items.

Actually, that is the SECOND brand new bike for her this year. But there is really no complaining here. She has worked herself into excellent condition, lost 35 pounds and looks wonderful. Santa can come by early and often.

I'm sure she'll enjoy it. An LHT has been my primary road bike for 3 years and it has been a wonderful performer for comfort, speed and durability. Not lightweight but strong enough to absorb much road vibration on bad roads, gravel roads, etc. Steel is real...
