Brools
I have a Cannondale Synapse. The problem is that I can't mount my B17 far enough aft to get a good fit. I guess the answer is a seatpost with more offset. I asked my local LBS to investigate, but I'm going to be surprised if the SAVE carbon post is offered with enough offset. Any thoughts on how I can deal with this?

I have a Synapse also, I believe my SAVE has a slight offset, but if I were to make any changes, I'd switch to a Thompson in a heartbeat

If you're looking at 27.2 diameter post there are plenty around. In addition to the link George provided. check out:

Or, perhaps the VX Saddle Adapter is a quicker solution? https://www.vk-international.com/enge...rig_engels.htm

I didn't mention that the SAVE seatpost is aero. Maybe the adaptor would be a good way to go.

The problem is the saddle. The Brools is a cheap Asian knock-off of the real thing.

And how is it that you could glean this info without seeing the saddle? I have seen this complaint voiced in numerous places. Are all of these people victims of some nefarious plot?

The rails on Brooks B17 saddles are not as long as on many other saddles and will not slide back as far. If your fit on your bike requires that the saddle be mounted at the rearmost position on typical saddles, then the Brooks will likely not get there without going with a seatpost with more setback. You are right, it is a common problem.
