How does a 50 year old spend a post hospitalization vacation? He hikes, bikes and mountain climbs.

We went to Glacier National park. Here's some of the scenery. Enjoy! Click the image for the slideshow.

Looks just like Central Indiana, except completely different.
Not as many bears around here, either.

Yea - looks just like the Adirondacks - about a million years ago. But we've got plenty of bears.

I actually did see a bear......they're out of hibernation early up in Glacier.

This was a BIIIIIIG feller. POst winter hibernation and still in the 450-550 pound range. He was on the same side of the creek as me at first, about 75' away. I came around a blind corner on a trail and there he was. I didn't have any bear spray because it was low order of probability to encounter a bear this early, but I was still wearing bear bells.

No problem: You should see the cycling opportunities in Whitefish! It's a road/mountain cyclist's heaven!

Riding the Going to the Sun Road in GNP is great, one of the most scenic rides in the U.S. However it doesn't usually open until late June.

Thanks for sharing.
