You will find some way of getting back. My neighbour had a stroke about 10 years ago and he went blind. His hobby was "Green Bowling" and he had to give it up---for a year. He still had the enthusiasm- and the skill so as soon as he was fit- Out came the bowls and the Club got him back. OK- He needed a few sighting bowls and a spotter but he was back.

That idea of a Tandem--And I know I keep recommending them as I ride one- Locally there is a Tandem club for disabled. I get called on occasionally to take a disabled rider out for one of their organised rallies. Mobility and balance is not a problem when they are on the bike. Neither is lack of power so think about that one.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you recover quickly, though I admit I know nothing about strokes.

Do you know what caused it, or are strokes things that just happen for no apparent reason?

Regardless, best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thanks for all of the words of encouragement. They are very much appreciated. I will be back riding again. My wife won't have it any other way. She knows how much riding means to me.
I'll try to be on if I can. Once again, all of you have made my day. Thank you.

Tex, I am so sorry I missed your phone call! I just listened to your voice mail, and that prompted me to look up your recent posts, and now I have found this thread. Prayer already said for your recovery, of course. Please do try calling again! Yes, I am willing to help you get to your therapy.
