Handy Accessory for Some

Sometimes I find myself on my road bike near a store where I want to stop and get something - say some fresh fruit - to take home. But, I find I have no safe way to carry it.

I just ordered and got 4 keychain backpacks - these were from Sahalie, but they are sold out now - I got them for $6.00 apiece. One for each bike and one for the wife.

So, they are VERY small, fit in my wedge or my rear jersey pocket very nicely, yet expand to carry a fair amount and supposedly up to 25 lbs. (but I don't think I would put that much weight in there). They have straps for over your shoulders.

Anyways, I thought someone on the list might be interested. I also have 3 larger foldable backpacks, but they take up a fair amount of room.

They are available - at a higher price - at Amazon.

Thanks Dnvr. Looks like a handy item. I think I'll give it a shot.

Denver, I bought something like this for my daughter. It is all nylon and when it is folded into itself it forms a rose and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. I doubt many of the guys here would be interested, but you've reminded me of it and I may just have to see if she'd be interested in letting her mom borrow it. It would be perfect for exactly what you've suggested. Too bad it doesn't fold itself into a blueberry! :innocent:

Better yet, it could fold itself into a Blackberry--then you could text and talk on it!:roflmao2:

 That would be wasted on me! I can't text very well when I'm off the bike, let alone riding!

Think I saw something similar in Wally World's luggage department. Good idea.

miss kenton: that was 'tongue in cheek'. I personally do not text, and don't care much for voicemail. It took me a long time to give in and get an 'electronic leash', but for safety on long rides in remote areas, decided about eight years ago to take the plunge.:(

Cool! Could come in handy.
