Why I spend so much time browsing this forum.

I spend way more time in front of a computer than on my bicycle. And these days, I find that I keep a browser page with this forum open for long periods of time, checking it now and again as I move from task to task. Why? Part of it is that I learn a great deal (particularly from Hermes and Allegheny Jet) and am entertained some (most often by Weak Link), but neither of these accounts for how much time I spend checking out this board. The social aspects account for some appeal, but not much really.

Today I had a great great club ride- my standard Tuesday night hill climbing ride, and I finished a full MPH faster than ever before. I'm sure many of you know how great that feels. I'm sitting at home on the couch, getting some work done (in my job, lots of work gets done in the evening), and kind of glowing because I had such a great ride. More generally, riding bicycles feels great. But of course, I can only spend part of my day riding, and I spend much more of my day with my laptop. So hanging out on bf gives me an outlet to keep cycling on my mind, even when I'm supposed to be thinking about other things....

So the real reason I hang out here is it kind of extends the cycling experience. I can talk about my ride (god knows my wife doesn't want to hear about it) or just be thinking about riding during the part of the day when I am not.

I'm guessing that all of the above is obvious to everybody, but so be it....

Thanks for the Kudos. A 1 mph increase in average speed is significant - congrats.

Actually, I keep BF open in a spare window because it is such a pain to load. I counted the other day. The initial load is 378 files.

Oh, and it is often entertaining and educational.

Sorry, but do we know you? I guess I don't spend as much time there as I used to.

Back to the OP, I don't hardly spend any time browsing BF...I inherited my post count from some crazy-assed tranny playboy model.
