1988 Fuji Sagres
If it fits me OK I'm going to trade an inexpensive circular saw for the Sagres this afternoon. My friend who owns it bought it new in 88 and I believe has kept it indoors all this time. Anyone owned or know much about this bike? I'm thinking it will be a good project bike.

The only listing I could find in 1988 for a Sagres is this https://www.classicfuji.com/1988_23_SagresSP_Page.htm
If I were you, I would ask the same question in the C&V forum, there are a lot of people over there with huge amounts of information on older bikes.
BTW... The Mixte in my Sig line is a 1985 Fuji Sagres... But, I have modified it quite a bit from the original.
Best of luck to you and check out the C&V forum.

I had a Sagres for a little while. I think mine was an '84. Nice Vanadium steel lugged frame with decent Suntour components. I fixed it up and sold it to a bikeless friend who still rides it occasionally as his beater.

I've got the same one. I put some fenders on it and some decent tires and its now my winter/rainy day bike so it still gets some good use. My wife paid $50 for mine about 6 years ago at a garage sale.

OK, did not work out. Too tall to stand over and the frame had quite a bit of rust. I was prepared to replace cables, chain etc but the frame rust was more than I wanted to deal with. Thanks for the replies though.
