Biking on Anna Maria Island--Info?

My wife and I just booked a place mid Jan to mid Feb on Anna Maria Island. We will be bringing bikes with us. Anyone know how the roads are for biking there, the realtor says that there is a bike lane that goes the length of the island.

Is the above information accurate? Also any information about any other biking venues in the area?

We visited friends down there last year. We took our bikes and rode every day. I enjoyed the rides (several loops along the water and back across bridges to the mainland. Not an area for fast rides but nice enough for cruising.

Thanks, looking forward to some pleasureable, casual rides.

I will be back there in November. If I remember I will pay attention to where we ride and post something here.
