Grr!! reality vs. perception vs. desires?

Grr!! reality vs. perception vs. desires?

Two days ago, the roof guy who came to collect the final payment remarked to my wife and myself, "I replaced the roof of some folks down the street who are even more elderly than you are."

Today, I ordered a bunch of stuff at McDonald's for breakfast, one thing after another without a pause or mistake, and the lady standing next to me looked at me and stated, "Well, I guess you don't have Alzheimer's."

One more time and someone gets a broken nose!

I had shingles when I was about 45, and recently my wife and I got the shingles vaccine. That would be 25 years ago. Was that your question, or did I screw that up also?

As regards the roof, it cost me $700 and the insurance company $13,000. I've never had to pay to have a roofing job in CO. The hail and insurance take care of that. BTW, it was a 30 year shingle.

About 300 homes in our neighborhood get new roofs from a storm last July. None of us knew until one neighbor discovered damage.

So, what was the McDonalds order?

Cos, if it was 'three double big mac meals for me, cheese on two but not the third, double McFlurry, extra fries with two of them but not the third, and two apple pies but only one a la mode, and whatever my companions are having', then no wonder the onlookers admired your memory

I know, I know, just teasing - It was a seasonal salad and a cup of green tea??

Hey this isn't 50+ or bike related. I'm moving this to the Construction forum.

Well, fair enough - but I was able to list the menu above 'cos it's a standard for the 50+, 150 lbs-, gang here after a hard pedal. (Oh , maybe not, just what we dream of)

OK, if my Alzheimer's fog will allow me to recall:

2 sausage/egg mcmuffins without the sausage
1 yogurt parfait
1 milk
1 senior coffee (for the wife)
2 water cups
2 hash browns
2 jellies

That is impressive Denver. The only reason I know what I had for breakfast this morning is that I nearly always eat the same thing.

My wife reads to preschoolers.

Last week, one asked her, "When are you going to die?"

Why would you order a sausage/egg mcmuffin without the sausage, isn't that just a plain eggmcmuffin?
I haven't been to Mickey D's since my kids realised that the food stinks.

On another note, we went to IHOP this morning, the age for the "senior" menu is 55, that's right FIFTY F@$^*#% FIVE That's only 2 1/2 years away.

Man, you are out of it.

Sausage McMuffin w/egg (or without egg) - $1.00

Egg McMuffin (Canadian Bacon included) - about $2.29

It's all in the marketing, I guess.

The sausage is all grease, so we skip it.

That's why!

Perhaps the fact that you were standing outside and ordering from the drive-through without having a car. or at least your bike:

D*mn immoderators are coming out of the woodwork.

A whole new layer of authority to kick against.
