Idaho/Oregon Car/Bike Trip with Photos
Click here for my photo diary of our camping trip in Oregon and Idaho.
My two recommendations for "must-do" rides: 1. Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. This is 71 miles of smooth flat pavement with no cars and great views. http://pages.suddenlink.net/tripsite/IMG_4787.JPG 2. Rim drive around Crater Lake. This is a 34 mile ride with lots of hills, but nothing too steep. http://pages.suddenlink.net/tripsite/IMG_4902.JPG |
I like the rakish tilt to the helmet Al.

Love the pictures - what a great and memorable time!
My singing group sings at nursing homes and retirement communities around Denver. |
Gorgeous pictures! So different from flat hot Florida. Thanks for the trip!

WOW!! What a great trip!! Thanks for sharing.
In regards to the stairs with the troughs alongside for wheeling your bikes up and down, we have a set of steps very similar to that in Fairport. A gent that I used to work with thought they were intended for riding down and almost broke his arm trying. He was all set to complain to the town until I explained their intended use. |
Thanks for sharing, Al, nice pics! I've done #2 on your list and I'm happy to see you had better weather than us.:thumb:

As the others have said, your pictures are beautiful and it looks like an amazing trip, although a bit more rugged than I could handle. However, I find the most impressive part of your story is your spontaneous piano playing at the senior center! I'm sure you made the day for a number of your audience! Nice work!
