Taylor's Yorkshire tea. In volume, all day long, strong
Timothy Taylors Landlord, Fullers London Pride ales
Sierra Nevada, Parrots Ferry, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Brooklyn pale bottled lager
Efes Turkish canned lager
Chilean Sauvignon Blanc

In descending order of enthusiasm and consumption!

(Never really caught a taste for the distilled spirits)

And a lot of V8 with Lea and Perrins

A Root Beer FLOAT! I love root beer floats, but have totally forgotten them. I'm heading to the store right now!

I like a good bourbon, gin, Irish whiskey, Scotch whiskey, Canadian whiskey, rye, tequila, brandy, most beers and ales, many wines (bottled or boxed), Manhattans, gin and tonics, martinis (real ones), salty dogs, Irish coffee, old fashions, bloody Marys, etc. I'll drink what is available and after 3 or 4 I find I really like it. The list of what I don't like is much shorter.

But there is certain bar that I know that is always dark and cool (sorry for injecting a summer scenario into a winter theme). I love going there on a hot summer day. They have Harp on tap served in a 24oz. frosted mug. I like to wait, with trembling anticipation until there is a little ice floating before that 1st long pull that empties 1/3 of the glass. Ahhhhhhhhh

Weather is finally getting cool enough for afternoon rides that don't turn into instant sweat-baths here in southern Louisiana.

Wheel Sucker Wit and Wildschwien Heller Bock from Hog Haus Brewing Company (when I'm back visiting family in Fayetteville, AR);
Turbo Dog and Amber from Abita Brewing Company (brewed locally); and
Just about any beer that's FREE!

Maybe I'll just go drink the Bass (that would solve the problem, right?).

This summer I discovered melon Vodka & tonic - rivals my bombay blue for a great hot weather drink. But now that the weather is turning - the old standby, Swiss Miss and pepper mint schnapps will return - summer beer, corona light - winter beer, Stella - red & white wines all year round.

I believe, on the east coast this is marketed with the name "Hobo's Choice."

(Don't think I don't worry about that. I have my book shelves at home arranged in Dewey Decimal. My OCD book is under 616.82)

So who's counting?

But have to agree about Starbucks. We have numerous Coffee shops starting in the UK and many of them are American. The best coffee for me is at a Cafe- Any cafe- in France- closely followed by Italian. In the UK- then Costa coffee is good and a few other chains- But Starbucks**********? Only had two- didn't like it first time but could not believe it could be that bad so a year later tried another- It is that bad.

Wine with dinner, usually a merlot that we bottle ourselves at a neighbourhood make your own wine shop.
Ontario has some excellent micro breweries, and I buy several brands. This is my current favourite.

Written by Roadies, but considering all the available calories (and alcohol) in BEER, maybe it's best in Mountain Bike water bottles. At least, mountain bikes' uses are intended to be off-road and one probably isn't as likely to be pulled over for CUI (cycling under the influence) off the road, as opposed to the skinny-tire crowd in tights.

Naah-- Mountain bikers tipple is whisky or Rum in a hip flask. It has to be cos the water bottles are filled up with your beer.- All you have to do is catch them to get it back.
