Eclipse Wow!
 

The ice fog thinned and the cloud cover parted so we could see a beautiful full moon. As time passed we could see the shadow move across the moon's surface. Initially it was dark like a shadow and then became a nice sunset red color.

Then as the shadow moved we were able to see the moon's usual color return and finally became its' usual bright self.

Was anyone else able to share in this viewing pleasure?

I had to get up at about 3:30 to make a trip to the loo, so while I was up anyway, I searched the sky to see if I could spot it. There it was, in the northwest sky, as clear as anything. The whole moon was visible, but a good half of it was in shadow. Stayed up for a while and watched it darken for a bit, but my pillow was calling me back, so I didn't watch the entire performance.

I got a few good shots too, don't have them off the camera yet though.

Watched from about 1030 until 1130 PST and just as the eclipse was about total, the fog clouds got in the way.
