Canada 2, Russia 0 after 1
Canada scored in the first 2 minutes on a power play.
Lots of back and forth for 18 minutes.
Canada grinding in the Russia corner feeds the puck out
and Canada scores again.
End of the first period.
This second goal gives Canada a bit of a margin, but they can't let up.
They can't afford any silly penalties. Russia has the skills to capitalize on the power play.
40 minutes left to play. I have to tell myself to keep breathing.

What did I say about silly penalties?
Russia takes a couple penalties but is doing really well on the Canadian power play.
Not giving the Canadians opportunities to shoot.
Canada scores again.
Canada gets 2 minutes for having too many men on the ice. Sh%% happens.
End of the second period.
Canada 20 minutes away from a gold medal.
Their wheels would have to come off to loose this game now.
Maybe a shut-out!

Russia 5 Canada 3
to end the game.
Not so much Canada doing poorly.
It was Russia in the third period turning on the hockey skill and peseverance they have.
A sorry disappointment for Canada. And Jubilation in Russia!
I'm exhausted.
