A video to crank up your heartrate...

Here's an amazing video of a very rapid descent from Canadian TDF competitor, Michael Barry

Also here is a very interesting interview with Michael. I hope you'll find both videos entertaining.

The mini-van coming up the mountain around the blind turn would get my heart rate up!

Pretty wreckless with all that traffic.

Did I see a few very large rocks on the left side of the road near the top?

A little over halfway through the camera took a sudden turn to the right then straightened up again. I didn't notice any other bike maneuver. What was that all about?

Just curious. Nice video.

There were definitely two cameras in use on different riders. In some scenes you catch glimpses of brake levers and you can tell when the rider is standing to pedal from the way the picture tilts from side to side that this camera is mounted to the bike. The other camera is helmet-mounted (I think on the lead rider) as you can see it on the rider's shadow. Obviously the turn to the right that you mentioned was a quick glance to the rear by the helmet-camera rider.

I could see a helmet mounted on the front rider. I think the 2nd rider had it mounted to the side of his helmet. Pretty crazy considering traffic and narrow road! At least they weren't going very fast. B)

Makes sitting in my office at work this morning with all the snow outside suck even more.

I had to quit watching as it was giving me motion sickness!

Based on body position, the lead rider does not appear to be cooking the turns. They are being conservative.

I like fast descending as much as anyone, but DAMN that road is narrow!
