SWorks Road Shoes
Anyone use these? I've been a Sidi man most of my road days but lately they have begun to feel a little tight in the toe box. I have been using Specialized MTB shoes that fit great so I figure perhaps the road shoes would also. I had to order a pair as the shop didn't have my preferred black in my size. I'm not fast enough to rock the white.

I've been riding them for three seasons. I like them a lot. The heel pad doesn't hold up all that well, but I found that you can use a layer of Shoe Goo on them and it provides a bit more wear. Normally, I'd wear a size 46.5 or 47 in a cycling shoe because I can't typically get them wide enough, but with these shoes I was able to go with a 46 and have room for wool socks in the winter. (Yeah, I wear them with neoprene covers).

Ah, your feet are getting middle age spread.
As a user of Specialized Pro Roads, I highly recommend Specialized shoes in general. The fit is narrow in the heel, snug around the arch, and medium to slightly wide (like a D+) in the forefoot. The arch and metatarsal support is excellent, too.

It would seem so! I know my Specialized Pro MTB shoes fit great. Like you say, the heal fits well while I have ample room in the toe box. The Sidi are just too tight in the forefoot and really have been for some time. I've been in denial I guess but I'm tired of numb toes.
The majority of Sidi shoes we sell in our LBS are Megas ...

I almost bought a pair of those in Charlotte last year when I bought my Sidi's. They were extremely lightweight and looked really nice. They were the previous year's model and the LBS had them over 1/2 off. Kinda wish I'd bought them as my Sidi's were starting to feel a little tight in the toe region as well. Right now I can hardle even get them on but hopefully that will change over time.

+1 on BritBloke. I moved from Carnac to Sidi years ago. I got the Midi (wide toe box) and felt like I was swimming in them. Not so any more. I realized that the Carnacs were just too tight in the toe box. You will appreciate the extra width in the summers when your feel swell a little bit. Can't comment on SWorks .
